From receiving The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Oil as a free gift from the previous ‘Spa Of The World’ bloggers event; it has now became one of my hero beauty products. I had never thought of using an oil product on my face before, but i must say i really enjoy the texture and my skin has been the best it has in ages.
The silky oil is a cleanser to remove all traces of make-up and will leave your face feeling fresh and clean. It’s a quick process to remove every scrap of make-up which i love as i do not like spending ages on my skincare regime. The Camomile Cleansing Oil is suitable for all skin types and even removes suborn water proof mascara!
You simply massage the oil onto DRY skin and add some water to emulsify and rinse. I often use a damp muslin cloth to wipe away my make-up as these can be easily washed in the washing machine and make my face feel lovely.
The formula is quite a thin oil and you have to be careful when dispensing it as it can shoot across the room! Just make sure you cup your hand around the pump opening to avoid any spillages or stains on your clothing. I find the scent quite pleasant as it is quite natural with hints of camomile and is slightly fruity – not too over powering at all.
I have been using this product for a few weeks now and have seen an instant change to my skin. I used to constantly get spots on my cheeks, but since using this product as a part of my evening skin-care regime, my skin is very clear and feels great. I have oily/combination skin and i would personally recommend using this ONLY in the evenings as i find it is just enough.
I have previously used Liz Earle’s Cleanse and Polish and i would say this Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Oil is just as good and is slightly cheaper at £11.00 for 200ml. After my evening cleanse with the camomile oil, i use The Body Shop’s Seaweed Night Treatment and the Seaweed Day Cream in the mornings. Take a look at my review on the Seaweed collection, here.
Have you used The Body Shop’s Camomile Cleansing Oil?
