When lush has new products, its like being a child all over again. I get really excited about the pretty product designs, scents and gorgeous ingredients they use. Last friday, (7th August) Lush cosmetics launched a new range into their high street stores.
Some of the new products were already available to be purchased at the luxurious Oxford Street store, but i think it’s great Lush have incorporated some of these great products into our local stores too.
I picked out only three new products because i didn’t want to go crazy, as i already have so many bath and body products at home! I purchased items that caught my eye instantly because of the appearance, but also because i have used similar products before and was interested to see how they compared.
The Comforter Shower Cream
The Comforter. Originally known as a bubble bar; i would say this is a favourite amongst most Lush lovers. From using The Comforter as a bubble bar and loving the blackcurrant scent and amount of bubbles it produces, i just had to get my hands on the shower gel version. When in the bottle (seen above) you can see it is a vibrant pinky/purple colour that has a metallic shimmer. I used the shower gel last night and was not disappointed! I found my skin to be very moisturised after rinsing off the cream and found it to lather up nicely. I thought it was a more oily based gel than a foam and it left my skin smelling berry-licious for a few hours after use. What once was a Lush Oxford Street product, The Comforter Shower Cream is now available to pick up from your local lush store!
Price For 100g: £4.75
Milky Bath Bubble Bar
How cute is this Milky Bath bubble bar? I just had to purchase this because of the cute appearance as it reminded me of the milk bottle sweeties. From discussing with the staff in the Birmingham Lush store about the new products, i was told this was quite similar to Butter Ball, which is one of my favourite bath bombs. The bar is filled with orange oil and skimmed milk to keep the skin happy and moisturised. The glitter top is actually cocoa butter that melts into your bath for extra softness. Because the bubble bar is so gentle and soothing, Milky Bath is a great bubble bar for children too.
Rub Rub Rub Solid Body Scrub
Rub Rub Rub Solid Body Scrub was first introduced to the Oxford Street Lush store. Me and my boyfriend are a fan of the liquid version, so i wanted to try the solid block formula with the pretty floral design. It’s great for exfoliating the skin and the aroma is so fresh and clean. The solid block bar is a little greasy when held in your hands, but the salt gives a gritty texture that softens the skin and is not too rough. It contains sea salt, illipe butter and has a cherry blossom flourish.
Overall i’m really pleased with the new lush products i have purchased and have found some new favourites. There has been lots of other beautiful Lush products launched and can’t wait to try some of these out too.
Why not pop into your local lush store or take a look at the new products on the Lush website?
