I love going for food at the Finest Catch. Whether it be for a spot of lunch or an evening meal, its definitely one of mine and my boyfriends favourite places to eat. My local Finest Catch is the Shirley branch and every time i have visited i always get outstanding service and amazing food. What i also love about the restaurant is that you can order whatever you want, even if it’s just a coffee or starter. Many restaurants do not let you order the children’s menu, but with the Finest Catch they have no age restrictions, so if you fancy something light, the children’s meals are perfect (obviously i’m too greedy for small portions).
My usual order is the Smaller Fish & Chips with a side of curry sauce. But this time visiting, i went for the Fish Goujons which are smaller pieces of fish in the traditional fish and chip batter – it was yummy. When you order your main meal, they bring out free bread and butter with tartar sauce to accompaniment your meal. The chips have been delicious every time i have visited; they are properly the best chip shop style i have ever tasted. Also the drinks are refillable and this is always a bonus.
I love the american style diner decor the Finest Catch have, which is becoming quite popular now for restaurants. It’s a relaxed environment and another nice touch is that they play american old-school music to add to the atmosphere. We always seem to get the seats in the conservatory part in the Shirley branch but the restaurant is pretty spacious and has lots of seating areas.
I can’t fault the service at the Finest Catch in the Shirley branch. I’ve never visited any of the other restaurants but i can imagine it service is outstanding across them all. You are always served in a polite and happy manner, they give you enough time to decide on your food and make you feel comfortable. Nobody leaves the finest catch hungry – second helping of chips at no extra charge is available and last time we visited, my boyfriend wanted extra bread and butter and they bought lots more to our table!
The price at the finest catch is very reasonable. It’s affordable and i love how the puddings are not over priced like many restaurants nowadays. If me and my boyfriend have a regular meal each and two soft drinks, it normally comes to around £15.00! Takeaway fish and chips can be done on collection and the prices are a little cheaper too.
As you can see on my photo above, i demolished my meal. I’ll be definitely returning soon to the Finest Catch, I can’t wait to get some of that yumminess in my belly. If you love fish and chips and haven’t been before, i really recommend that you try the Finest Catch as it is lovely food and a great relaxed atmosphere. I hope you enjoyed my review, would love if you could comment below and let me know your finest catch experience and what your favourite dish is?
Until next time…
